Inspired by the Victorian obsession with collecting and cataloging nature, I’ve made my own bug friendly versions using ceramic and Raku!

Coated with glossy Raku glazes which give this satisfyingly random effect with rainbows of colour which appear when the ceramic is removed from the kiln and bursts into flames when they hit the combustible.

Mounted in a wood and glass 18cmx18cm frame, each is numbered and signed by hand 🏷️🦋
