Fresh water vessel
One of my largest pots made in the ancient style of pinching the clay into shape without a wheel. I love this method as it shows the irregular, handmade marks in the clay.
To decorate I delicately paint a coral pattern in wax before layering white and turquoise glazes that coat the pot leaving the waxed parts bare. The pattern and colour remind me of the froth of a freshwater stream.
A tall pot at around 26cm high.
