Cliff Crunkle Vase
Inspired by the powerful chalk cliffs along the English South coast, this large vase is covered in decoration designed to look like it’s been naturally formed.
I’ve used a beachy, Sandy clay to form the shape which gives beautiful tones and textures. The layer of white crackle glaze flows across the vase forming organic patterns, which I pick out with a wash of blue glaze over the top half.
This can be used for flowers, candle light or fairy lights. The holes project soothing patterns onto close surfaces.
This big vessel is around 18cm at its tallest point and 12.5cm wide.
