Big Raku Pearl
Hand pinched spherical pear that has been coated in copper oxides and Raku fired to produce magical pastel patterns on the clay.
The pot is removed from the kiln when at its highest temperature and then moved into combustible sawdust that ignites! The colours are formed when the oxygen is reduced to stop the fire from burning.
Raku pots aren’t suitable for liquids but look great with dried flowers. To keep their brightest colours they shouldn’t be put in direct sunlight.
