Turquoise rebel cup

This special glaze rebels against the standard glazes which lay flat. This one wants to be bumpy and textural and add to the decoration by allowing more clay to peak through.

These thrown cups are in a biscuity colour clay and decorated with layers of thick, textural fresh turquoise glaze.

I use a clay with mixed colours of dark and light tones that shows the twist of the pottery wheel process.
