Coral bowl seascape

I love to beach comb, imagining where things that have washed ashore have come from. Magical undersea worlds or far off shores, we fill our Brighton home with anything that reminds me of the sea and that includes these hand carved coral inspired bowls. Each bowl is pinched to roughly 15cm before I then hand carve the coral pattern across the clay body, this distorts them into an organic shape that I hope evokes a pebble like form. I then ad and wipe away a few layers of glaze so that you get both a glossy glaze and the stone like bare clay. I like to imagine that these are trinket bowls or dishes straight from Atlantis.
