Naked Raku Bowl

Egg the pug has helped out with these vases, he loves being one of the team and it’s Spring shedding so he’s donated some of his brushes hair that can be used for Raku.

Thrown in miniature on my small wheel, I fire these in the microwave channelling my space man cooking show vibes! I then use a naked Raku technique where the pot is removed at its hottest and the surface gets marked with the hair that instantly burns and leaves permanent line patterns.
