Miriam Margolyes Radish Porcelain Note

Miriam Margolyes is an icon with so many outspoken quotes. She’s proudly gay, proudly feminist and proudly says what she thinks. My favourite line of hers is when she’s munching on a radish answering questions whether she prefers sex or eating radish…

I’ve made two of these notes in porcelain with underglaze pencil decoration. I’m so happy with how these have come out and have worked hard to make each one striking and well finished. The high quality smooth white clay is fired twice up to 1,260 degree which makes the glaze look so vibrant with the papery wobble and lines baked into the piece.

They have a hook on the back so it can be hung up to display or leaned on surfaces. They’re sized at approximately 11cmx17cm.
