Bulbous Glacier pod
Made with the ancient technique of hand pinching, this ceramic pod is coated in a white 'glacial' glaze. By delicately pinching the form it allows for the made by hand element to be celebrated, with finger marks indented in the clay.
The glacial 'crackle' is achieved by part dipping and part painting to get the irregular look. The clay I used for this pod was recycled/reclaimed clay so it has a cool marble effect on the unglazed half.
Around 12.5cm tall. This pod is just suitable for dried flowers as they’re a tear in the clay on the bottom.
